SPOTLIGHT
Have a blessed Eid!
Anam Ali Abbas
Finally its time to celebrate the victory, our victory of fighting against the evil, of staying good throughout the month, refraining ourselves from food items during fasting time, avoiding bad language, keeping ourselves away from fights, prejudices and everything bad. We have been quite successful in dealing with Ramadan. So, now its Eid - time to celebrate the happiness.
We have been celebrating Eid days since our childhood the same way. We do shopping, spend Chand Raats in markets, dining at restaurants, in short we don't miss any opportunity to have fun. But while enjoying or having fun, we must not skip the positive side of the opportunities.
There are three things which are so powerful that they can even delay the death time. And those three things are Dua, Charity and good relations with relatives. We don't lag behind in Dua but we do miss the other two virtues.
Lets take the charity first. We give away goods or food items for charity that we reject for our own use. We do charity with those things which are inferior or which we reject for our own usage. That's not charity. Let me tell you that when you do give anything for charity, that charity goes first in Allah's hand then in the hands of the poor. From this one can easily understand the importance of charity. Charity is done with those things only which are dearer to your own self.
Now comes relation with our relatives. With the passage of time, everything is changing so rapidly, our moral values are changed. We don't give respect to our relations, we don't have time for them, as we are so busy with our own things. And respect and time aside, we have broken up with most of our close blood relations. And Allah doesn't like this at all. So let's try to mend those broken relations which are away from us since long ago. Lets remember those relation which have forgotten us.
There are many other good things which we can try on this Eid to make this year's Eid different and best of all the Eids we ever had.
Ideas
While shopping for Eid, always keep in mind that its our religion event and we should stay eastern throughout the Eid days, jeans and shirts wont go with the occasion. Try Shalwar Kameez, it's for both men and women.
If because of any reason you don't live with your parents then try to get home this Eid, offer Eid prayers with your father.
Don't forget to share the sweetness of Meethi Eid with your neighbours and with kith and kin by sharing delicious food items.

I habitually celebrate my Eid along with my family members, starting my day with scrummy sheer khurma makes me feel pleasing throughout the day. Conveying Eid wishes to my friends is another immense activity of mine! And chiefly, I also go for visiting my relatives though I infrequently get time to meet up within such demanding schedule of life but on Eid I always want to be at their place because Eid days are meant to be occasions when the Muslims of an entire town join together, thanking Allah for His blessings, in rejoicing at the great religious traditions of Islam and in forgiving one another for any personal excesses we may have committed towards one another. So, the merely message I can deliver to my fellows, is not to clutch any grudges! Do go for making your day as much pleasurable as you can by attaining prayers from one and all!

Allah never wastes away anybody's struggle. Eid-ul-Fitar following Ramadan is one of the precious gift for the whole Muslims world. The Eid celebrations end up the effects of whole the years' tiresome hue and cry and make us fresh for the next years' hardships. People often are heard saying that 'Eid is for children' and they feel shy celebrating it. This tendency is tantamount to be thankless to Allah Almighty. WE should celebrate this day with the full religious zeal and zest. The faces that withered away because of our scolding, in some past time, should also be given a chance to bloom. Celebrating the day with friends and family is real a precious gift of Allah Almighty, especially in this age of selfishness and despotism.
Usman Azhar
Eid-ul-Fitar or choti eid is most important day for each and every Muslim. This day tell us about various good things which can help us in our day-to-day life. Most of us spend our eid day in meet and greet friends and relatives respectively. I enjoy Eid. I do see an increasing trend in people finding it boring. Meeting other people or doing something different is key to making Eid special.
We don't have many special days in the calendar other than Eid so we must make it special somehow.

Eid-Ul-Fitr is festival after Holy month of Ramazan. Eid is the only day when I get up early in the morning. I spend the first half of the day giving my neighbours cakes and Sawaiya after that I prefer watching TV, eating Sawaiya. It is the day when you grab money from your parents as Eidi. That's the best part.
As it is the happiest occasion for me so I enjoy this day by visiting all my family and friends, give gifts (especially to children), and make phone calls to distant relatives to wish them Happy Eid. I don't forget that it is also a time to give charity to the needy and celebrate with family and friends the completion of a month of blessings and joy.

Eid is a festival that really means a lot to Muslims, a festival that we enjoy the most and that makes us happy. Indeed, Eid-ul-Fitr is a day of thanksgiving and jubilation, as it signifies the successful completion of the month of Ramadan. This festival marks the completion of an act of duty and devotion. It teaches us the lesson that real happiness arises from performing one's duty and making sacrifices for a noble cause.
Eid is celebrated with high spirits all over the world; though the mode of celebration and traditions may vary, the main spirit remains the same everywhere.
It is an occasion equal for all Muslims regardless of their nationality, language, race or colour. It's our responsibility to share our happiness with neighbours and those who are less fortunate.
Ahmad Salahuddin
Eid is God’s gift which is given to us after Ramadan. I spend most of time with my family and friends. This year I am thinking about rebonding, I will try my best to be friends again with lost and broken relations. And my message for everyone is to avoid fights and be good to everyone and form a peaceful society.
